Course objectives
At the end of this course the student will be able to:
understand current kindergarten;
know the dynamics and intensity of their own behavior and feelings, know own self-esteem;
use information about their strong points and their development;
create a notice of practice;
present (reasoned thought out, rational thought) statements about diversity educational programs;
interpret different teaching styles of pre-school teachers;
Syllabus
  • Teaching practice takes place for a week in kindergarten cooperating with Faculty of Education in Brno, which have been assessed by Czech School Inspection as examples of good practice. Kindergartens are selected so that their focus is different (Dalton Plan, Step by Step, Kindergarten with promoting health, regular kindergarten). Teaching practice is considered as the observation in classes, students observe environment, teachers and children. After the practice there are reflective workshops involving pedagog and psychologist from the ranks of university teachers. Students learn about the dynamics of their behavior and feelings, their self-esteem. Students recognize their strong points of their personality and focus on their further development.
