Course objectives
The aim of the subject is to provide students with orientation in the conceptual issues of education and education in the current school system CR and to understand the essence of pedagogical designing and evaluation in accordance with the objectives of RVP PV. Students will learn basic curriculum documents and their two-stage model. The course will also study the basic legal documents and internal documentation of kindergarten. Students will be introduced to the requirements of teamwork and basic conditions for the creation of school and classroom education programs.
Learning outcomes
t the end of this course the student will be able to: to orientate in the current school legislation and legal standards relating to the rights of the child; (Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Education Act, the education of teachers, National educational framework); to characterize the current education system on the basis of contemporary educational policy and to characterize the context of its development; to explain the current system of care and education of pre-school children in the Czech Republic; to create school educational program for specific kindergarten; to created a class education plan in view of the needs and interests of children in particular class; to evaluate training project; to reflect on their professional skills.
Syllabus
  • 1. Theory of curriculum. 2. Basic legal documents (Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms, the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the decree on early childhood education, Education Act, employment of teachers, ...). 3. School and class documentation. 4. The school educational program and the concept of educational work of the school. 5. Creation of the class curriculum in response to the school educational program and with respect to individual interests and needs of children. 6. Teaching through projects, Integrated thematic teaching. 7. Implementation of the project, work with group dynamics. 8. Evaluation of School educational program and class curriculum based on established indicators.   Working with selected aspects of the same themes as those containing lectures in the seminars.
