Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able: 1. to understand fundamental terms: morphology, morpheme, morph, grammatical structure of the word; 2. to understand and use criterion of the word sorts; 3. to explain grammatical category of the nouns and of the verbs; 4. to understand of the tendency in the contemporary Czech morphology. The students get fundamental knowledge of the contemporary Czech morphology.
Syllabus
  • 1. Morphology - fundamental terms.
  • 2. Functional and formal morphology.
  • 3. Word sorts and their classification.
  • 4. Grammatical category of the nouns.
  • 5. Grammatical category of the verbs.
  • 6. Declination of the substantives, adjectives, pronouns and numerals.
  • 7. Conjugation.
  • 8. Uninflected words.
