Course objectives
Student applies diagnostic work in practice according to the process of educational assesment (diagnostics), explains the various methods of educational assessemnt and possibilities of their application in practice, applies some of them in their own diagnostic activities; names the principles of diagnostic work in practice, gives examples of errors in practice and reflects on their experience with the diagnostic activities; knows methods for educational assessment of class climate and social relations, motivation, interests, learning styles, pupil's conception of curriculum, learning outcomes, student self-concept and his family background; understands the individual educational plan for the student; reflects on their own diagnostic work in practice.

Teaching methods
Teaching methods in the language of instruction theoretical and practical preparation in the form of a seminar with independent study of specialized sources and electronic distance-learning materials. During the semester, students perform subtasks, which are based on an ongoing basis and collectively surrender in the seminar work.
Assessment methods
Criteria for completion of the course: Quality of term paper + Oral (or written)exam. Term paper is evaluated according to the following criteria: Use the correct terminology of educational assessment; Collects diagnostic data to the objective planned diagnostic activities; Evaluates and interprets the diagnostic data; Defines the diagnosis and take possible measures.
