Course objectives
This course will review the background and development of teaching English to Young Learners(TEYL).
The participants will analyse the YLs needs and they will suggest and examine appropriate approaches to TEYL.
They will also explore, evaluate and adapt methodology and materials used for teaching YLs.
They will review methods of evaluation and assessment suitable for YLs.

  • 3. Classroom management Teacher, classroom language, discipline
  • 4. Planning a syllabus Different approaches, role of English within the curriculum Long-term planning
  • 5. Designing topic based lessons
  • 6. Designing story based lessons
  • 7. Designing activity based lessons
  • 8. Teaching English over the curricula
  • 9. Giving and getting feedback, monitoring progress
