Cíle předmětu
Participants will raise their their awareness of the importance of reading for pleasure and developing the second language literacy. They will also learn how to promote the love for reading and books. They will have a hands-on experience of selecting the books and designing the tasks. They will suggest activities that develop not only the language skills but also social and self-awareness, thinking skills and cross-curricular links.
Course aims:
to provide solid theoretical background for using authentic literature in the young learners classes
to equip the participants with hands-on experience in developing and running a series of lessons based on real books for children
to teach the participants how to keep a record of a project
to link the theory with the practice
to make the participants reflect on their learning and teaching practice

Metody hodnocení
The successful participants are expected to:
participate actively in the face-to-face workshops, work on the assignments and tasks set from session to session
keep a record of their progress in the Project log
read the texts and react to articles on moodlinka
finalise their projects after their teaching practice and submit the Project log to the tutor
