Course objectives
The aim of the subject is to: 1. Prepare students for the demands of teaching based on the principle of the use of real-life data in practice 2. To equip students with some basic knowledge of project-based teaching, its roots and its potentials for realization which they could make use of in practice later 3. To teach students how to make use of projects in order to support the interests of pupils, to increase the meaningfulness of studying, to develop the motivation for studying and the social relations within the class 4. To provide an opportunity to create a project and realize it in practice, with an opportunity to reflect on one's performance

  • Historical connotations of the rise of project teaching (The new education movement, J.Dewey, W.H.Kilpatrick, reformed pedagogy of the 30's) Modern incentives: pedagogical constructivism Methodical characteristics of project teaching: the project selection a motivational framwork of the project: real life, interests and needs of the child The planning of the project meaning, aims, progress, organization The project contents the predicted teaching activities for the project, differenciation and individualization of teaching Colaborative teaching Progress and results of the project presentation, evaluation Project proposal and realization of a self-design project, critical self-evaluation
