Course objectives
Student are able to: work with GIS program, work with basic tools in GIS work with web sites focused on the satellite image find suitable maps on the internet/ map servers work with free downable data for GIS to add WMS server or other GIS servers into GIS. The use of charged geoinformatic knowledge and skills in teaching.
Syllabus
  • ArcMap - cartographic visualisation, The maps of Czech Republic, thematic maps (geology, Nature Protection, NATURA, air pollution etc.), other useful websites, their didactic use. Education through ESA and NASA organizations. Students work on their maps which they must hand over in a set dates.

lessons in GIS Laboratory, self-study
Assessment methods
practice, To finish this subject succesfully, students must participate on the each lesson and work on the set maps. They are havenig to hand over the maps in the right condition and on the set date. Each student is also supposed to work in the GIS Laboratory independently.
