Learning outcomes
Geoinformatics, geoinformation technologies include mainly geographic information systems, remote sensing and global navigation systems are used by the company for a number of useful tasks ranging from emergency services intervention, map creation and display, field orientation, cadastre management and scientific experimentation. Understanding geographic information and geographic data, searching for, displaying, interpreting and using it in practical life, science and education is an essential part of the training of geographic education professionals. The course focuses on the development of skills in working with geoinformation technologies freely accessible primarily through the Internet (work with map servers, portals displaying aerial and satellite data, applications for the creation of animations from satellite data and radar data, applications for smartphones). Analysis of geographic information, geographic data in teaching geography, presentation of current school practice related to this topic, examples of good practice, examples of methodological and worksheets supporting the development of pupils' skills.
