Prerequisites
The complex geography is an ideal core geographical sciences. It represents a synthesis of knowledge and skills gained from studying partial geographical disciplines. These disciplines, students have to pass in previous studies to be able to understand the synthetic and hierarchically ordered tasks of the complex geography. .

Course objectives
At the end of the course, students will be able to: - Understand the principle of "vertical synthesis" of knowledge as a connection and dependence between (1) individual building components landscape and (2) between individual human activities and (3) between area features of natural origin and human activities - Identify and interpret phenomena in the territory on the relationships between the nature and human activity - Understand the demonsstration of the principle of "horizontal" synthesis in the form of territorial differentiation of the area by natural factors and human activities
Learning outcomes
The student will understand the structure of geographic sciences, the role and the status of complex geography between geographic disciplines. He gets an idea of the complex geography's tasks and its importance for understanding the surrounding world.
Syllabus
  • 1. Overview of components of the natural landscape subsystem 2. Integration of data on natural landscape components based on the synergetic relationships 3. Overview of the components of the economic landscape landscape taking into account the level of compatibility of human activities 5. Overview of social (human)landscape factors 6. Integrated manifestations of social factors in the territory. 7. Total understanding and data integration of the landscape
