Course objectives

This course is the first contact a student of the Faculty of Sports Studies with a specialization that deals with the musculoskeletal system. This is the initial object to block the movement of objects. Obtaining this knowledge is a prerequisite for further study at the Faculty of Sports Studies MU. As part of the course, students are gradually introduced to: the overall construction of the musculoskeletal system (bones, joints, muscles) function of each part of the musculoskeletal system, the potential risks of injury in sports and in everyday life. After completing this course the student will be able to understand the teaching of other related subjects. At the same time gaining the information necessary for the exercise of his future profession.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course students should be able to:
- describe the basic anatomical structures of the human musculoskeletal system
- explain the functions of individual parts of the locomotor system
- and use this knowledge to create an integral view of human movement

Syllabus

• Improtance of studying anatomy, its divisions, terminology - a cell, atissue, an organ, an organ system
• Orientation on the human body - planes, axis directions
• The skeletak system: hones and joints of the trunk
• The skeletak system: hones and joints of the skull
• The skeletak system: hones and joints of the uppen limb
• The skeletak system: hones and joints of the lowen limb
• The musculan system in general, types and function of the muscles introduction to PNS.
• The mussculan system posterion trunk muscles, innervation.
• The mussculan system: arterior, trunk muscles( thonax and ahdomenl, innervation
• The mussculan system: head and check, innervation
• Muscles of uppen limb ( Pectronal gindle, arm, foreaim), innervation

Teaching methods

Assessment methods

Teaching block consists of lectures and seminars. Seminars are mandatory. Classes take place with the help of anatomical models and slides and audio-visual techniques. The course is concluded with the granting of credit. The final assessment is a written test and oral exam.
