Course objectives
The aim of the subject are following:
- Familiarization with methodological and didactic procedures during warm up (without/with accompaniment of music)
- Application of joint-mobilisation exercises
- Interconnection of theoretical and practical knowledge from the area of the stretching and the strengthening and their use in individual parts of the training/exercise unit.
- Familiarization with the terminology of physical exercises
-to promoting the basics of musical-movement theory and application into practice (tempo, tact, beats, metrum, rhythm, dynamics)
-applications of basic dance elements, steps, jumps, turns ..
- introducing theoretically and practically with individual dance (folk, country, street dance)
- development of coordination, movement memory with the using a music, application for training parts in individual sports, leisure activities and training for trainers
- to mastering basic techniques of rope training, synchronization with music.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students should be able to:
- know the list of stretch and strengthen exercises for different muscles of the body
- know the correct execution of these exercises
- form and lead the warm up (without/with accompaniment of music)
- know the correct terminology of physical exercises
- identify individual beats in musical accompaniment, to distinguish the metric impulse, resp. master beat
- understand the basics of musical-movement theory and application into practice (tempo, tact, beats, metrum, rhythm, dynamics)
- be able to do basic dance elements, steps, jumps, turns.
- be able to choose an adequate music recording of the presented movement exercises.
Syllabus
  • Terminology of physical exercises
  • Warm ups (main principles and individual parts of warm up)
  • - joint-mobilisation exercises
  • - dynamic warm up
  • - coordination exercises
  • - toning exercises
  • Stretching (different kinds of stretching and its use in practise)
  • Strengthen exercises:
  • - abdominal muscles
  • - back muscles
  • - arms and trunk muscles
  • - gluteus and legs
  • - complex strengthening exercises For all exercises the correct terminology of physical exercises will be applied, the function of muscle groups and the correct execution of the individual exercises explained and the problems of breathing clarified.
  • - Tempo, tact, counting times, metrum, rhythm, dynamics
  • - Training of individual dance steps and step combinations
  • - Basic dances - waltz, polka, country, street dance
