Course objectives
The main and fundamental objective of the course is to expand students' theoretical knowledge about the field of coaching in sports practice.
Learning outcomes
Be able to name the differences between the coaching and training approach and sports psychology Knowledge and knowledge regarding the personality of an individual – a sports mentee, parent, etc. from the point of view of various theories of personality and temperament Ability to name and create conditions of psychological safety for working with an athlete in a dyadic relationship, in an organization or in a sports club Be able to apply the principles of effective communication when working with mentees and their parents, communicating important information Be able to apply the approach of work to the mentee from the point of view of his age and emotional state Be able to define effective conditions of a coaching approach Be able to apply skills in the field of coaching techniques in various conditions of the sports field, skills in creating an effective atmosphere and climate
Syllabus
1. Principles of conducting a coaching conversation in terms of its focus 2. Personal well-being – its principles and ways of working on it 3. Working with stress in sports 4. Working with mental resilience in sports 5. Working with emotions in sports 6. Using relaxation techniques in sports 7. Working with stereotypes in sports
