Course objectives
The aim of the subject is to provide (to students) survey of the determinants influencing both positively and negatively on human health or illness.The basic idea underlines the basic network - bio-psycho-social-spiritual individual´s harmony (non-harmony)and its influence on wellness or illness. The topic prevention and self-responsibility is stressed. Next aim is to describe the issue of patopsychology and nutrition impairments - and in fals realized physical activities and sports.
Learning outcomes
The course graduate is able to: 1. define and classify psychical illness according MKN-10; 2.demonstrate skills in stress and burnt-out issue; 3.apply knowledge about spiritual hygiene into practice; 4. define basic impairments of nutrition; 5.interpret holistic approaches of healthy life style (wellness vers. illness); 6. define approaches leading to pathology phenomena in sport and solve prevention
Syllabus
  • Definition of the health and illness. The development of approaches and conceptions, models.
  • Stress, coping stress strategies, approaches: cognitive, behavioral, psychoanalytic, humanistic.
  • Principles of the spiritual hygiene.
  • Burnt-out syndrom.
  • Personality, identity (self - concept), transaction analyses. analýza.
  • Biopsychosocial factors negatively influencing on health: abuses -alcohol, smoking, drugs, gambling, risk sex.
  • Nutrition impairments.
  • Self-demage, self-injury, CAN syndrom.
  • Patopsychology – neuroses, psychoses.
  • Patopsychology – ADHD, ASD//Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
  • Institutions: psychology and special education advisory centers, psychiatric institution, diagnostic centers, non-governmental organizations.
