Course objectives
A student will be able to specify and characterize a structure and particular forms of financial markets. A student will be able to classify particular financial products from the suitable segment of a financial market and calculate and evaluate investment yield of this products according to risk, revenue and liquidity. A student will be to discuss about advantages and disadvantages related with an individual investment products and will be oriented in all financial market segments.

Teaching methods
The course is dividend in individual lectures. In seminars there is prepared an individual student’s essay about the particular segment of a financial market. There are also extended acknowledge from lectures by using case studies and data analysis.
Assessment methods
The course is concluded by the written examination (15 questions in the form of a multiple choice and 4 questions in the forma of essay) and short oral discussion. Total score from written examination is 50 points; total score from oral discussion is 10 points. In seminar there are written two in-term tests with 30 points per a test (multiple choice and short essay). Student must get at least 36 points from both tests. The half of in-term test points gained by a student is added to total score from final exam test. Total score is 90 points and at least 54 points is necessary for successful finishing of this course. Student must elaborate and deliver an essay.

The course is taught annually.
General note: Předmět je přednášen v angličtině a je ekvivalentní s předmětem Finanční trhy. Studenti si zapisují jen jeden z těchto předmětů. Nezapisují si studenti, kteří absolvovali předmět PFFITR nebo PFFMRA nebo PFFMRN.
