Course objectives
The contents of the course consist of thirteen topics on human resource management in companies. Students will get an overview of selected basic areas of human resources management issues in companies. The lectures will focus on modern trends in the field of HR management and also provide students with examples of the world's leading companies, pioneers in the field of human resource management. Specific issues of human resources management in small organizations will only be mentioned marginally. Students will learn how to process specific kinds of personnel agenda and procedures used in personnel administration.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course, students should be able to:
- understand the impact and importance of human resources for the organization
- be familiar with the main functions and stages of the process of human resource management
- understand specific procedures and techniques of human resources management
- acquire basic knowledge for practical application

Assessment methods
Final test with the time limit of 60 minutes or oral exam. The exam is assessed on the point scale; the final classification ranges from A to F. Any copying, recording or leaking tests, use of unauthorized tools, aids and communication devices, or other disruptions of objectivity of exams (credit tests) will be considered non-compliance with the conditions for course completion as well as a severe violation of the study rules. Consequently, the teacher will finish the exam (credit test) by awarding grade "F" in the Information System, and the Dean will initiate disciplinary proceedings that may result in study termination.
