Course objectives
Money and monetary policy (KFPEPO) This course aims to convey to the students the role of money in economy with emphasis on its position within the framework of economic policy of a state. In the first part of the course students are introduced to the economic and institutional environment - i.e. to money, financial system, and a real two-stage banking system. The second part of the course deepens the macroeconomic knowledge gained in the basic course of Macroeconomics taught in the 2nd semester, adds the monetary aspect and ends in an analysis of practical monetary policy. Examination: written and oral.
