Course objectives
The subject is organized in a seminar form and is focused on the development and enhancing of methodological attitudes of the most relevant significant economic theories. Its aim is to gain solid foundations for studying contemporary economics and also for understanding of the context, in which its changes occur, especially in relation to the topic areas analyzed in the thesis. The content of the course comprises the following topics: Contemporary neoclassical economics. Keynes and Keynes debate in the works of neoclassical, Keynesian and liberal authors. The argument of Neo- and Post-Keynesianism. Institutional approach and Neoinstitutionalism in contemporary economics. Methodological individualism and contemporary economics. Alternative approaches to solving contemporary economic and theoretical problems.
