Course objectives
Management (SDMG) The course focuses on issues related to the management of businesses. The initial part defines basic terms and presents historical development of management in the context of economic, social and political conditions, placing management into the system of relevant scientific disciplines. Attention is further paid to the managers personality inclusive of ethical aspects of their activity, organisation of their work, the way they behave and negotiate. The central point of the course is knowledge of the process of delegating, planning, decision making, influencing and controlling, as well as issues of organisation and creation of organisational structures. The final part of the course surveys present problems of corporate management in the Czech Republic and the latest trends of development of management in advanced countries. Examination: oral.
