Course objectives
Foreign Language (KJAZ) The course aims to deepen and activate the knowledge of grammatical structures of language and expand its vocabulary, placing special emphasis on professional economic and business terminology as the basis for successful professional communication. Working with professional texts and learning the techniques of business correspondence in a foreign language is an important part of the course. In the course, students can choose German or English. The initial requirement is elementary or pre-intermediate knowledge of a general language, which is tested by a written placement test. Based on its result, students will obtain a recommended programme for A-level (elementary level of knowledge) or B-level (pre-intermediate level of knowledge) which they have to pass to be admitted to sit for the exam. Students will be able to check the improvement of their language ability through control tests, made available for them through the Information System of Masaryk University before the end of each semester. Examination: written and oral.
