Course objectives
Mathematics (KMMATE) The aim of the subject is to introduce the student to the elementary mathematical equipment necessary for mathematical formulation of a solution to some economic tasks and eventually solving them. The content of the course includes the basics of linear algebra, differential calculus of functions of one or more variables and integral calculus. Linear algebra introduces particularly the concept of a matrix and methods of solving systems of equations of the first degree. In differential calculus the focus is on investigating the characteristics of a function of a single variable and searching the extrema of functions of more variables. Integral calculus introduces the concept of an integral and its application.
