- Course objectives
- At the end of this course, students should be able to:
- identify contemporary issues of public finance
- find out different aspects leading to the solution, including undertanding main similarities and diffencies
- explain and defend of the chosen way - Syllabus
- The course covers current public finance topics. They are scheduled for certain weeks of the semester (approximately):
- Reforms of Public Budgets
- Distributional aspects of public finance reforms
- Public Expenditure Management, State Treasury
- Public finance sustainability, Public Debt Management
- Contemporary Issues of Regional and Municipal Budgets
- Contemporary Issues of Regional and Municipal Budgets

- Class discussion of contemporary issues of public finance. Presentations of students' seminar work within tutorials.
- Assessment methods
- The course is concluded with awarding a credit. To obtain the credit, students have to fulfill given conditions:
1. elaborate and present of the given problem,
2. elaborate an essay).
Important information! If students commit a prohibited act, such as using various forbidden tools, cribbing, taking out any part of the exam or any other cheating, the teacher is allowed to interrupt an exam and to grade a student with F, FF or FFF according to the seriousness of the offence. The mentioned procedure relates to all the activities that are included in the final evaluation of the course (seminar work, essays, tests etc.). - Language of instruction
