Course objectives
Business consultancy is a dynamically developing area of the service sector. Gradually, there is a change in perception as the advisor being the privilege of large companies. But advisory services are beginning to be utilized also by SMEs. In accordance with this development, the size of the market advisory services increases, respectively the number of consultants in the field of business management, marketing, finance, etc., and hence the competition in the market of business advisers increases as well. The course is aimed at skilled mastering of counselling process, not only the technical but also in terms of relationship with the client. Due to the fact that the subject is not primarily aimed at acquainting students with basic concepts and relations in various functional areas of economic-organizational consulting (strategic management, human resource management, financial management, etc.), but the actual advisory process, it is assumed that the students have basic knowledge based on the courses Science of firm I, I Marketing, Human resource management, corporate finance, etc. The course is intended for students who wish to offer consultancy services, but also for students who may create demand for advisory services in the future (for example, in the leading position of the firm they will select consultant for cooperation). The main objectives of the course: to present basic steps of adviser work; to classify possible symptoms of business problems; to predict possible problems in the company according to basic characteristics of the company (life-cycle of company size, sector); to propose possible solutions to individual problems; to calculate costs associated with the work of advisor especially costs connected with the implementation of the proposed solutions to problems; to apply systematically basic project management practices, primarily in the area of project planning; to present the work of advisers in accordance with the ethical principles of business consultancy

Teaching methods
Education proceeds as lectures, that are teoretical preparing of students in the framework of discussed issues (according syllabus).
Assessment methods
The course is finished by the test. The test is carried out in written form - a written test. The test includes a combination of closed questions (20 questions) and open questions (5 questions). Closed questions examine knowledge of theoretical substance. Correct answers can be more or no, ie. variants from 0 to 4 possible correct answers (students may obtain 1 point for completely answered question, in another case, 0 points). For the closed questions the student can obtain a total of 20 points. Open questions are verifying the ability of the student to offer specific solutions to the problem. Each open question is evaluated by a maximum of 3 points maximum or proportion of degrees according the completeness of the answer. For the open questions, it is possible to obtain a maximum of 15 points. Maximum number of points for both types of questions in total is the 35 points. The minimum is 21 points, if coping with 60% correct responses.
Any copying, keeping a record of tests or carrying the tests out, using forbidden aids including any communication devices or any other breach of objectivity of the exam is regarded as a failure to meet the obligations of the subject and as a serious breach of study regulations. As a consequence, the teacher grades the student with "F" and the dean is allowed to initiate a disciplinary action, which might lead to the termination of the studies.
