Teaching methods
The course consists of three topic blocks. Each part is made up of four seminars. The first seminar of a block is focused on a brief teacher’s commentary on the given topic and on consultations. The other three seminars of given topical block are intended for presentations of three-member teams. The goal is to have four presentations in one seminar (each presentation taking about 20 minutes, or more precisely 10 minutes for presentation itself and 10 minutes for discussion and assessment). Each team gives three presentations during the course. Participation in the course is obligatory.
Assessment methods
Students have to pass an oral examination to successfully conclude the course. Students can only take the exam after giving their presentations in seminars.
Any copying, keeping a record of tests or carrying the tests out, using forbidden aids including any communication devices or any other breach of objectivity of the exam is regarded as a failure to meet the obligations of the subject and as a serious breach of study regulations. As a consequence, the teacher grades the student with "F" and the dean is allowed to initiate a disciplinary action, which might lead to the termination of the studies.
