Course objectives
At the end of this course students should be able to understand principles of Management profit and non for profit organizations in market environment. For a description and analysis of the management of organizations we use the concept of managerial components. Through this concept students will be able to design the management of a selected organization. The course responds to the current challenges of Industry 4.0 and globalization of society.
Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to describe individual components (environment, strategy, structure and culture) of selection organization and their relations. On the basis of the analysis, the students will gain knowledge of the functioning of the organization's management in the local and international environment.In addition, they will also have the skills to design the most appropriate arrangements for successful business in a market environment.

  • 1. Management, organization, environment - description 2. Goals of semestral work, methodology, approaches to solutions 3. Organizational environment, corporate identity, corporate image - description, economic differences in the management of profit / non-profit organizations 4. Seminar - description and identification of the selected organization, presentation of the basic components of the environment 5. Structure of organizations, dimensions, development, behavior 6. Seminar - dimensions, competencies, and organizational development - description, differences 7. Organization strategy - Focus on organizational priority, definition of competitive advantage and strategy design 8. Seminar - Description of priority, competitive advantage and strategy formation in selected organization 9. Culture of organizations - the dimensions of culture, elements of culture and typology of culture 10. Seminar - Organization culture, description of the dimension, element and focus of the organization culture 11. Relations between the organization components - description of the functioning, determination of synergy 12. Seminar - Evaluation of relations and components of organizations- Design, Application 13. Function of components and their relations with impacts to management of organization - description, behavior, impacts on the synergy of the organization; characteristics of the organization in the market environment, determination of the effects and the success / competitiveness on the organization.

Teaching methods
Lectures with presentations and examples of real situations and their analysis, case studies, group discussion,empirical research, interviews, work presentations
Assessment methods
Students have to achieve more than 60 % of total points in the mid-term seminar evaluation and more than 60 % of total points final examination test. Any copying, keeping a record of tests or carrying the tests out, using forbidden aids including any communication devices or any other breach of objectivity of the exam is regarded as a failure to meet the obligations of the subject and as a serious breach of study regulations. As a consequence, the teacher grades the student with "F" and the dean is allowed to initiate a disciplinary action, which might lead to the termination of the studies.
