Course objectives
Organisation and Management of an Industrial Firm (PHORPP) The course is offered as optional for students of the specialisation Business Management. Its chief aim is to introduce students to the principal activities of a manufacturing enterprise - the organisation and management of production process. The course focuses on specific problems of industrial enterprise economy and so develops the knowledge from general concepts of business economics taught in the previous courses. The principal topics of the course are as follows: - organisational structure and organisation of an industrial firm - personnel management activities and managing of staff - management of fixed assets and material economy - industrial production and creation of production policy - planning and management of industrial production process - industry and the natural and economic environment - controlling and data processing in an industrial firm Credit requirements: active participation in seminars, seminar essay, test. Examination: oral with an entrance test.
