Course objectives
Spatial Planning in the EU and the Czech Republic (SDUP) The course aims to provide information about the basic conceptual premises of spatial planning in the EU and its differences from the approaches of area planning still prevalent in the Czech Republic. Emphasis is placed on practical examples of application of spatial planning methods as a principal instrument for regulation of regional and community development. In this context it forms a certain alternative to the course Programmes of Regional and Municipal Development. Credit requirements: active participation in seminars. Examination: oral.
