Prerequisites
The exchange study course is the selective course into which students are enrolled on the basis of an assessment of their registration by guarantor of the course. Criteria for enrolment are - study average within active studies and conforming year, type of study and study mode (see Restriction on enrolment).The course is offered only to students of the fields the course is directly associated with within the Faculty of Economics and Administration (FEA). It is intended for the students of third (and higher) year of bachelor’s and master’s studies and for all years of follow up master’s studies (only in full-time mode).
Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The objective of this course is to enable 10 students of the FEA to know the functioning and behaviour of chosen Polish enterprises that operate in various sectors, to give an overview of functioning of selected Czech enterprises, and to give an overview of the Czech economy and its chosen sectors to the students of Cracow University of Economics in terms of The Cooperation Agreement between Masaryk University and Cracow University of Economics and in terms of the Working Programme No. 1 to this agreement.
Syllabus
  • Obligatory parts of the course: a) The exchange study course is planned during the exam period at the turn of May and June. It includes one week lasting exchange study stay for maximum of 10 students of the FEA, excursion in Polish companies that will be chosen by the Polish party. b) Students of the FEA will participate in ensuring the stay of exchange Polish students in Brno. This stay will take place next to the last week in June. The students of the FEA will participate in one excursion at least that will be arranged for exchange Polish students. c) Team preparation and follow-up presentation that will be lasting approximately one hour and a half. The presentation will take place during the stay of exchange Polish students in Brno. The essay will consist of: • an macroeconomic overview of the Czech economic performance (economic indicators, position of the Czech Republic in the European and world economy, export import, analysis of international trade and main trading partners of the Czech Republic in this area, etc.); • a detailed analysis of sectors whose delegates will be included among companies in which will be excursion realised during the stay of exchange Polish students. Concrete conditions of the stay in Cracow: the Polish party will ensure accommodation for exchange students of the FEA and it will provide all transportation cost whereabouts and another charges and fees within the program. Students must have a valid insurance of medical expenses (for purposes of the stay). After coming back the students will get a scholarship for refund of travelling costs and the mentioned insurance. Students will pay only expenses for food and other personal expenses.

Assessment methods
Type of teaching: consultation, presentation, excursion, team project The classification of the course is passed or failed. In the case of failure of any obligatory part of the course a student will not be admitted to the colloquium.
