The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The aim of the course is the preparation for the proper language course within curricula.
Syllabus
  • 1st section Unit 1: verb "to be", pronouns, articles; personal information, classroom language; alphabet and word stress
  • 2nd section Unit 2: present simple, possessive s, common verb phrases, jobs, family; consonant sounds
  • 3rd section Unit 3: adjectives, adverbs of frequency, prepositions of time; daily routine, date and time; pronunciation of o, h and th
  • 4th section Unit 4: can/can't, like + verb + ing, object and possessive pronouns;free time activities, shopping, music; sentence stress, pronunciation of ng
  • 5th section Unit 5: past simple; word formation, travelling, free time with friends, detective story; sentence stress, pronunciation of -ed

Assessment methods
Each study section will be completed by a written test evaluated by a computer. Successful completion of all partial tests in time will be evaluated by 2 credits.
