Cíle předmětu
ICT in Education Studio is a flexible and dynamic course that discusses current ICT needs and issues in educational settings not from a tools-first perspective but rather, a pedagogical-approach first mapping one or several tools to the educational requirements of the course or activities’ educational objectives or methods.
The studio is aimed at current or future teachers of secondary or higher education. Primary teachers and future primary teachers are welcome to join acknowledging that further consideration and different tools could be needed to meet the needs of younger learners which might not be specifically discussed within the studio. The course will be open to EDUC partners.

The week’s focus may originate from the studio coordinator, anyone involved in the studio, or a collaborative effort from all involved.
The week’s focus and other course announcements and collaboration efforts are all on Slack (free team communication software) which has a desktop, phone and tablet application for installation on any device.

Informace učitele
Having completed a Bachelor of Information Technology, a Master of Education (completed wholly online) and with more than a decade and a half teaching experience in the classroom, online and training teachers online, BELINDA ALLAN is well posed to offer a great deal of learning in the field of ICT in education and online pedagogy.
Platform (required): Zoom application (on phone or computer).
Consultation hours (Autumn 2020): Wednesdays 11:00-12:30
An internet connection and computer with very basic computer operational knowledge is required to be involved in the studio. A web camera and external microphone (or headset with a microphone) is strongly recommended for online meetings. Laptop internal microphones often cause audio problems in online meetings. To avoid audio problems and wasted time please obtain a headset or earbuds with a microphone (e.g. mobile phone earbuds for making phone calls and using the Zoom mobile app would be sufficient).
