Thus the learners will be better able to benefit from their learning preferences or compensate for them.
The goals of the course are:
- to guide the students to become aware of their preferred learning style(s)
- to help them apply particular learning strategies for a more effective foreign language learning accordingly
- to equip students better towards independent learning
- to promote the students’ confidence in their ability to learn a foreign language
- to improve the students’ skills in using bilingual, monolingual and collocation dictionaries
For this reason, the course includes a learning styles test which is a clear indication of one’s overall learning style preferences. There will be an opportunity to debate widely individual learning styles and techniques. The students will have the opportunity to try out different methods and techniques.
