Course objectives
Acquiring theorecical principles and skills in reading and writing sign languages using SignWriting.
Syllabus
  • History and evolition of writing and notation systems for sign languages.
  • Possibilities of using SignWriging.
  • Components of signs (phonemes).
  • Hanshapes symbols, writing variety of hand orientations.
  • Contact symbols and straight movement..
  • Curved and cyrcular movement.
  • Axial movement, movement dynamic.
  • Facial expressions, oral and speach parts of sings.
  • Software for writing sign language using SignWriting.
