Course objectives
The aim of this course is to develop students’ knowledge and ability in Corporate Social Responsibility in order to formulate CSR strategy for a given subject and create action plan.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course, students should be able to:
- explain the relationship between corporate social responsibility (CSR) and business ethics;
- create CSR strategy based on vission, mission and business strategy;
- describe implementation process of CSR strategy and apply it;
- determine the most appropriate methods to measure effectiveness of proposed activities; - select the most suitable CSR standard for a company and evaluate the level of its fulfilment.
Syllabus
  • The course consists of 2 blocks of education (meetings) and self-study. At the meetings will be discussed in more depth selected topics. Other topics will be the subject of self-study. At the 2nd meeting, students will also defend their POT.

  • - the relationship between corporate social responsibility and business ethics;
  • - strategic corporate social responsibility - creating shared value;
  • - corporate social responsibility frameworks, guidelines and standards;
  • - responsible supply chain management;
  • - corporate social responsibility disclosure;
  • - CSR implementation process;
  • - corporate social performance;
  • - social enterpreneurship.

Teaching methods
Immediate tuition is divided into 2 meetings. Content of the first meeting is based on the teaching method lecture (especially on the oral and discussion teaching methods) and seminar. The second meeting is based on the teaching method seminar (especially on the situational and inscenational methods of education) and interconnects cognitive learning with social learning.

Assessment methods
Final written test, team projects and their defense.

Any copying, recording or leaking tests, use of unauthorized tools, aids and communication devices, or other disruptions of objectivity of exams (credit tests) will be considered non-compliance with the conditions for course completion as well as a severe violation of the study rules. Consequently, the teacher will finish the exam (credit test) by awarding grade "F" in the Information System, and the Dean will initiate disciplinary proceedings that may result in study termination.
