Course objectives
The goal of the subject is active student’s involvement in the process of collection, analysis and interpretation of corporate data from the area of manufacturing, eventually service.
Learning outcomes
After graduation of the course student should be able to:
- be oriented in corporate environment and to solve practical tasks
- to use theoretical knowledge acquired at university and apply it on practical tasks
- to present acquired knowledge and skills in front of audience
- to create structured output describing practical experience
Syllabus
  • Students are supposed to: a) Assist senior consultants of the company SC&C Partner with consultancy service in relation to particular projects carried out by clients. Eventually, students will be provided with separate subtasks. b) Participate in new materials and simulation games preparation and creation. c) Try (if interested; it is a voluntary part) lecturing and consultancy under the supervision of experienced senior consultants Areas of activities: Mapping of processes, data gathering preparation, data collection, data preparation for analysis, analysis, optimisation, interpretation and preparation of acquired results presentation

Teaching methods
Used methods and tools: Lean Six Sigma, Design for Six Sigma, Data mining, Measurement System Analysis, Statistical Process Control, Hypothesis Tests, Design of Experiment, Value Stream Map, etc. Students who correctly use at least two statistical tools (as a part of the project) and score at least 80% from the Yellow Belt test will be awarded by the certificate Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt.
Assessment methods
Conditions for completing the course and for the credit are: - A presentation of gained experience in the form of preparation a seminar lesson for other participants of the course. - Preparation of a short presentation which will be uploaded on the faculty website.
