Course objectives
Foreign language I-a-a (JIZ) In the third semester students build up competencies gained in the first year. The topics are extended in cycles and new topics from certain vocationally relevant areas are added. Basic skills are further diversified, and students will apply them to role-playing, simulations of negotiations and business meetings. The focus will be shifted to formal and stylistic accuracy of expression. Credit requirements: minimum 80% active participation in seminars (i.e. systematic preparation for seminars, home assignments handed in due time), 60% score in the final test, and a seminar essay submitted by 30 October.

Assessment methods (in Czech)
seminární typ výuky ukončen zápočtem; požadavky na zápočet: minimálně 80% aktivní účast na seminářích (soustavná průběžná příprava a plnění zadávaných úkolů), 60% úspěšnost u zápočtového testu, seminární esej v angličtině s termínem odevzdání do 30. 10.
