Předmět je otevřen studentům libovolného oboru.
Cíle předmětu
Main goal of this course is to introduce students to the current issues in the subject of public policy. Topics cover different areas in which the role of government is highly important but the policy is mostly undereducated. The materials presented in the course are exclusively based on the recently published papers of recognized scholars. The course will put an emphasis on empirical research and encourage students to elaborate selective case studies into class presentations.

Výukové metody
Lectures are supported by presentations, class discussions, students’ presentations, and suggested reading materials for self-study is provided.
Metody hodnocení
Students are expected to attend class regularly, to participate actively in the seminar discussions and to present findings of a selected paper. Grading is based on student presentation (20points), open discussions (20points), class participation (20points) and final exam (40 points).
Final grades are based on your overall score:
  • A more than 91 points
  • B 81 – 90 points
  • C 71 – 80 points
  • D 61 – 70 points
  • E 55 – 60 points
  • F less than 55 points
