Course objectives
The aim of subject Track and Field 2 is provide theoretical knowledge and training practical skills:
  • the correct technique of long jump, triple jump, high jump and shot put
  • basic rules of track and field events, and principles of safety in the lessons.
  • Learning outcomes
    After successful completion of the subject Track and Field 2 student will be able to:
  • apply the correct technique of long jump, high jump, triple jump and shot put,
  • analyze (and critically evaluate) the most frequently occurring errors in technique perform the above mentioned events,
  • complete penthatlon on the required level,
  • demonstrate knowledge of basic rules mentioned Track and Field events, and safety on lessons.
  • Syllabus
    • 1. lesson - introduction to the study of the subject,
    • 2. - 3. lesson - practice of the technique of long jump (SJE, organization, kids athletics),
    • 4. - 5. lesson - practice of the technique of high jump (flop, scissors, SJE, organization, kids athletics),
    • 6. - 7. lesson - practice of the technique of shot put (STE, safety, organization, kids athletic),
    • 8. - 9. lesson - practice of the technique of triple jump (STE, safety, organization, kids athletic),
    • 10. - 11. lesson - practice hurdle running,
    • 12. - 13. lesson - preparation for fulfillment of the requirements, rehearsal of track and field rules and technique of mentioned events.

    Teaching methods
    Practical exercises at the athletic stadium. Self study e-learning form.
    Assessment methods
    Credits are obtained after fulfillment of the requirements:
  • complete penthatlon on the required level,
  • active attendence in lessons (1 missed lesson is allowed)
  • written test (15 correct answers are needed pass the test)
  • Practical fulfillment will be evaluated according to valid decathlon and hepthatlon scoring tables.
  • Classification of penthatlon:
  • men, (women) A - 2300 bodů(1900)
    B - 2200 (1750) bodů
    C - 2100 (1650)
    D - 1900 (1450)
    E - 1700 (1250)
    F - failed
