Course objectives
After successful completion of the course the ATHLETICS I optional will be able to: -apply the correct technique of runs for every distance, starts, hurdle running, basic relay and long jump through cower and coupling -apply the basic technique of high jump flop and shot put with a back way
Syllabus
  • 1.lesson - introduction to study course 2.-4.lesson - training technique of runs, running ABC, training technique of starts and development of endurance capacity with continues and interval methods, training relays 5.-7.lesson - training technique of hurdle running, 3-step rhytm and hurdle exercises 8.-10.lesson - training technique of long jump through cower and coupling 11.-13.lesson - training basic technique of high jump flop and shot put with a back way 14.lesson - practical final test

Practical exercises at the athletic stadium
Assessment methods
Credits are awarded based on student active participation in practical teaching and the ability to demonstrate meeting the requirements of selected athletic disciplines at certain time limits. The obstacle course is a requirement of practicing 3-step rhythm and correct technique slew of obstacles (as assessed by the teacher). Time limits of athletic disciplines: M 100 m -13,3-13,1 (E), 13, O-12, 8 (D), 12,7-12,5 (C), 12,4-12,2 ( B), 12.1 and better (A) Ž 100 m 15,8-15,6 (E), 15,5-15,3 (D), 15,2-15,0 (C), 14.9 -- 14.7 (B), 14.6 and better (A) run 12 min-M 2900 -2950 (E), 2951-3000 (D), 3001-3100 (C), 3101-3200 (B), 3201 and more (A) run 12 min-F 2300-2350 (E), 2351-2400 (D), 2401-2500 (C), 2501-2600 (B), 2601 and more (A), long jump - A-F evaluation techniques, the limits on M-480 cm, F - 380 cm, height of barriers to M-84 cm, 68 cm-F
