Course objectives
At the end of the course, students should be able to design suitable motion programs for people with special needs.
Syllabus
  • Characteristics of different types of disabilities in relation to physical activities, aims of physical education and sport, available physical activities, physical education in terms of inclusion, possibilities to self-fulfillment in sport (Sitting volleyball, Boccia, tennis and wheelchair basketball...)
  • Mental handicap: aims of PE and sport, available exercises and games in relation to forward level of handicap, sport for mental handicapped
  • Visual handicap: aims of PE and sport,available exercises and games to develop of space orientation, hearing and tactile perception, suitable sports (Showdown, Goalball)
  • Hearing handicap: aims of PE and sport, available exercises and games to develop tactile and visual perception and space orientation, suitable sports
  • Specific educational and behavioral disorders: available exercises and games from the area of psychomotorics
  • Visit some educational or training process of disability, visit some sports event
