Course objectives
The aim of the course is to hand on to students basic principles useful for pedagogy practice: e.g. the stages of mental development and intellectual development, characteristics of school childhood, the process of learning in different stages of the development, psychology of pupils motivation, class management, psychology of rewards and punishments etc.
Learning outcomes
After passing the course student should be able: - to understand basic terminology and principles of education approaches (intervention programs) - on individuals of all groups of population, including basic theories of education and formation, using in practice, - to formulate and analyze education processes in regular, special or inclusive environment, - self-reflexion in educative environment.

  • Developmental psychology.
  • Definitions of development.
  • Stages of development, characterization of developmental stages from prenatal to late adulthood.
  • Learning in respective stages. Psychology of education and nurture – nurture, styles of nurture, methods of nurture. Potential risks. Theories of learning, learning styles, conditions of learning.
  • Constructivism in education.
  • Psychological aspects of teaching, personal competence of teacher.
  • Specifics of teaching of PE
  • Communication with students and parents. Classroom management.
