Course objectives

Didactics of Physical Education is a superstructure that complements the practical didactics of individual sports disciplines on a theoretical basis. Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the subject is to acquire knowledge about the educational process in physical education and its components, which are teacher, pupil, conditions and own content of teaching. On the basis of the theoretical knowledge it is important that students understand the basic principles of TV didactics and can apply them practically to teaching physical education.

Learning outcomes

At the end of this course the student will be able to:
- Understand the didactics of physical education in relation to other scientific disciplines
- Interpret the historical development of school physical education in relation to changes in the curriculum
- Explain the importance of curricular reform and use information to create educational programs
- Understand the current concept of school physical education; - To focus in the educational process
- Based on the knowledge to understand the role of teachers in the teaching process
- Applying teaching styles, practices, methods and principles in the teaching process
- Understand the student as a subject and object of education
- Able to plan, evaluate and conduct educational unit of physical education and follow safety rules in school physical education
