Course objectives
The aim of subject Strength and Conditional training is to teach to interprete basic of strength and conditional training of children and youth, to define and apply forms and methods suitable in conditional training of children. The another goal is provide information about:
conception of long-term development of fitness
theory and aplication of identification and selection of talents
differences of training in individual age categories
Learning outcomes
After succesfull training of this subject student will be able to:
1. to interprete basic of conditional training of children and youth
2. to define and apply forms and methods of conditional training suitable for children and youth
3. to describe and apply base of characteristic of identification process and selection of talents (multidimensional attitude)
4. to realise conditional training of children and youth
5. to define differences between conditional training of children and adults
6. to define basic of actual conception in sports development

  • Ontogenetic basic of children and yoth conditional training
  • Sensitive periods of development of individual physical abilities
  • Conception of long-term sports training
  • Using of pedagogical principles in children conditional training
  • Specifics of strength abilities development in children training
  • Specifics of speed abilities development in children training
  • Specifics of endurance abilities development in children training
  • Specifics of coordination abilities development in children training (ideomotoric, gnostic and motoric function)
  • Specifics of flexibility abilities development in children training
  • Motoric skills, training of technique in children and youth
