Course objectives
The aim of the Didactics of Physical Education is theoretical anchoring of general didactics in the subject of physical education, introduction to historical development of physical education in schools and detailed analysis of the individual components of the educational process: pupil - teacher - curriculum - conditions. Acquiring the presented knowledge is important for understanding the basic principles of TV didactics and application in teaching physical education.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course the student will be able to:;

- Understand the didactics of physical education in relation to other scientific disciplines;
- Interpret the historical development of school physical education in relation to changes in the curriculum;
- Explain the importance of curricular reform and use information to create educational programs;
- Understand the current concept of school physical education; - To focus in the educational process;
- Based on the knowledge to understand the role of teachers in the teaching process;
- Applying teaching styles, practices, methods and principles in the teaching process;
- Understand the student as a subject and object of education;
- Able to plan, evaluate and conduct educational unit of physical education and follow safety rules in school physical education;
- Demonstrably apply diagnostic competences in school physical education
