Course objectives
To acquire basic information on individual types of disability, the possibilities of education of people with disabilities. To inform about current legislation in inclusive education, especially in physical education and sport.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to: - to be orientated on the issues of individual types of disability. - to describe what learning opportunities people with special needs have. - to grasp the legislative framework of inclusive education including the counseling system - to analyze the possibilities of inclusive education for different types of disabilities - to design an individual educational plan for a pupil with special needs - to design opportunities for movement and sports activities for people with different types of disability within and outside of the inclusive. - to apply the basics and principles of communication with people with specific needs.
Syllabus
  • * Special pedagogy - therm, subject, objectives, interdisciplinary relations, classification, terminology. * Legislation, integration, inclusion - therm, terminology, forms and possibilities of integration, curricular documents, individual educational plan. * Diagnostics and pedagogical-psychological counseling system. * Physical disability - characterization, classification, etiology, treatment options, education, DMO, appropriate physical activity and sports, inclusion of pupil with physical disability * Mental disability - characterization, WHO classification, etiology, education, Down syndrome, appropriate physical activities and sports, inclusion of a mentally disabled disciple in the PE * Autism - characteristics, etiology, possibilities of education, appropriate physical activities and sports, inclusion of a pupil with autism into PE * Visual impairment - characterization, classification, etiology, treatment options, possibilities of education, appropriate physical activities and sports, inclusion of the pupil with visual impairment into PE * Hearing impairment - characterization, classification, etiology, possibilities of education, prothetics, appropriate physical activities and sports, inclusion of the pupil with hearing impairment into PE. * Alternative and augmentative communication - characteristics, individual systems. * Specific Learning Disabilities - Characteristics, Classification, Etiology, Remedy, Training Options, Appropriate Physical Activities and Sports, Inclusion of Student with SPecif. learning disabilities to PE * Behavioral disorders - characterization, classification, possibilities of correction, equipment. * Therapy in special pedagogical care - canistherapy, hippotherapy.
