Course objectives
Through this course, students will get in touch with main aspects of NNO work. Students will be able to analyze, prepare and implement various campaigns, will get competences in the field of mass media and PR used in the non-govermental sphere. The last main topic of the course is leading skills in volunteering cooperation.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to: • - to distinguish basic types of NGOs and to list their specifics- to understand the functioning of advocacy and watch dog organizations and the core competencies of managers in these organizations- able to plan, prepare, lead and end the civil-society campaign- able to coordinate volunteers in NGOs- analyze the success of NGOs within the selected evaluation criteria- understand the evaluation of selected activities within NGOs

  • Fundamental terms used in activities of NNO.
  • Planning, scheduling, and evaluation of public campaigns in NNO.
  • Seminar in public campaigns in NNO.
  • Cooperation with mass media in NNO.
  • Seminar in cooperation with mass media in NNO.
  • Overview of PR in NNO.
  • Seminar in planning, scheduling, evaluation and strategy of PR in NNO.
  • Planning in NNO.
  • Practical exercise in planning in NNO.

Teaching methods
Work-groupe discussion, theoretical studies, practical seminars and group projects in public campaigns in NNO, cooperation with mass media in NNO, planning in NNO. Homework in PR and cooperation with mass media. Readings.
