Course objectives
During the course the students will learn in detail about fundamental theories of IR that have been so far developed, including their subvariants and current trends.
Syllabus
  • 1) Thinking and methodologies in IR, geopolitics 2,3) Realism 4,5) Idealism/Liberalism 6) Neorealism a neoliberalism 7,8) Marxism and World-system theory by I. Wallerstein 9,10) Postpositivism and new approaches - critical theory, postmodernism, feminism etc.

Výstup: zápočet - semestrální práce a dva písemné testy z probrané látky, zkouška - písemný test Požadavky k zakončení kursu: Zpracování a předložení semestrální práce v rozsahu max. 10 stran na téma zvolené ze seznamu, který poskytne přednášející; zvládnutí předepsaného objemu četby a úspěšné absolvování zápočtového testu.
