Course objectives
The object of the course is to inform students about political parties on European level, in context of the enlargement of the EU and potential Czech membership. Attention will be paid to attitudes of national parties to the EU.
Syllabus
  • 1. Introduction into the study of European political parties 2. Definition of European political parties 3. European People's Party, European Democratic Unionand the cooperation of christian democratic aconservative parties in the EU 4. Party of European Socialists and the cooperation of socialist and social democratic parties in the EU 5. European Liberal and Democratic Reform Party and the cooperation of liberal and radical parties in the EU 6. European Federation of Green Parties and the cooperation of green parties in the EU 7. Euroepan Free Alliance - Democratic Party of Peoples of Europe and the cooperation of ethnoregionalist parties in the EU 8. Alliance for Europe of Nations, Euronat and the cooperation of far right and right-wing populist parties in the EU 9. Confederal Group of the European United Left / Nordic Green Left, and the cooperation of radical left parties in the EU 10. TEAM, Group for a Europe of Democracies and Diversities and the cooperation of anti-EU parties in the EU; 11. Assessment methods (in Czech)
V rámci predmetu je po splnění příslušných úkolů možné získat maximálně 60 bodů, pro absolvování je třeba minimálně 36 bodů. Ohodnocení je následující: Na seminari prectena a pote v pisemne forme (cca 3 strany) odevzdana esej: 3 body (v prubehu semestru je mozne mit maximalne 3 eseje, tzn. ze za eseje je mozne ziskat celkem 9 bodu) Aktivni ucast na seminarich: 11 bodu Seminární práce (cca 10-15 stran, vcetne cca 20 minutoveho referatu): 20 bodů Písemna přezkoušení: 20 bodů Temata seminarnich praci a eseju budou zadana na pocatku semestru.
