Course objectives
The main aim of the course is to provide information about the basic concepts, terminology and typology of the czech (and some aspects of the slovak) political system between years 1848 and 1989. Students will receive complete information about the genesis of the czech (czechoslovak) political system before 1989 with an emphasis on identification of the basic system attibutes of the constitutional and political history. To finish the course students are required to write a seminar paper and pass the exam.

Assessment methods
In order to be allowed to the exam students are required to receive at least 5 points for writing an essay (out of 8) and at least 6 points for writing a seminar paper (out of 10). For succesful passing students need to receive at least 36 points (max 8 for an essay, max 10 for a seminar paper, max 42 from the test). For more information see syllabus (in "Student materials").
