Course objectives
This course is intended as an introduction into the security studies. Main objective of the course is to explain the substance of contemporary security studies and their research interests and to analyze important security issues of contemporary world. Students should be able to use the basic approaches of security studies.

Security policy. 7. Startegy and tactics. 8. Contemporary global state of security. 9. Security policy of powers. 10. International security organizations and regimes. 11. Security policy of the EU. 12. Security policy of the CR.

Assessment methods
Two sessions, each week study of literature: Students will receive a final letter grade (A-F) for the semester based on the following components: 1/3 seminary thesis, 2/3 final written exam. Grading: 56-60: A; 51-55: B; 46-50: C; 41-45: D; 36-40 E; 35-0: F.
