Course objectives
Student becomes familiar with theory, practice and research in contemporary family therapy, particlarly from systemic view of point.
Learning outcomes
Student becomes familiar with diversity of approaches in current family therapy in the Czech republic and worldwide as well.
Syllabus
  • Roots of family therapy, development of systemic ideas.
  • Family as a potential partner in therapeutic collaboration.
  • Developmental view at families.
  • Interpersonal neurobiology.
  • The main approaches in family therapy (according to A. Carr), key periods in development of family therapy.
  • Contemporary f.t. and systemic practice.
  • Postomodermn philosophy and social constructionism.
  • Integration in f.t.
  • Evidence-based models of efficacy.
  • Requirements in the therapeutic process, reflecting team, supervision, ethics.
